The CCCB presents the seventh edition of Xcéntric, its tribute to unusual and rarely seen cinema. This month the focus is on a series of works from the past 30 years related to the discussion between art and feminism, which has inspired so much creativity since the sixties. The history of experimental cinema and video art are divided, as they belong to different means of distribution, different economies, different audiences, etc. However, the feminist discourse creates a bridge between both disciplines and the subject of the body, domestic space, sexual freedom, formal experimentation, etc. all play an important role. for full details of all screenings, visit www.cccb.org

Also showing at the CCCB is an exhibition titled Magnum - 10 Sequences. The exhibition's curators asked 10 Magnum Agency photographers of various ages and different documentary photography backgrounds to evoke the influence cinema has had on their imagination. The result is this selection of ten original works, both photographs and multimedia installations, in which the photographers express the influence a specific film director, film or shot has had on their psyche and work. For more info visit www.cccb.org

Over at Espai 13 at the Fundación Miró, there's a chance to see a show entitled ¡Kawaii! Japó Ara - curated by Hélène Kalmachter - consists of 5 exhibitions by young Japanese artists whose work paints a portrait of modern-day Japanese society. The projects by Aya Takano, Erina Matsui, Chiho Aoshima, Tomoko Sawada and Kowei Nawa - four women and one man between the ages of 23 and 33 - reflect on tradition and modernity, social and economic problems and the search for an identity through paintings, drawings, sculptures, animated films, photography and installations.

Also showing at the Findación Miró, until May 25th, is an exhibition entitled Contemporary Chinese Art of the Sigg Collection. The collection, with instutional ambitions, includes pieces in all styles and by the most important artists to have emerged in China since the era of Socialist Realism. This groundbreaking, first-rate collection is museum worthy in terms of quality and size. The selection made for this exhibition aspires to bring more people into contact with an artistic phenomenon that has captured the attention of the art world in the past few years. The exhibition is divided into six different sections that represent social and political phenomena, which have marked contemporary Chinese art. The exhibition also includes an important set of artworks by the most influential Chinese artists working today such as Ai Weiwei, Song Dong and Yue Min Jun.

Where did it all go wrong? FC Barcelona will finish the year trophyless, having managed to outplay Manchester United in both semi-final legs but not managing to score even 1 goal. They have two home games left where the fans can display their incredible collection of white hankies, on the weekend of the 3/4 they host a rapidly disintegrating Valencia, and on the weekend of the 10/11th they host Mallorca. There will be, no doubt, no trouble getting tickets to see these games. Meanwhile the Espanyol push for European football next season has ended, and they will play at home to Atletico Madrid on the 7th and Almeria on the weekend of the 17/18th.
